  1. Connect to your Roku

    Open Auxility Remote on the same Wi-Fi and select your device. Control and search both run over Wi-Fi with no pairing.

  2. Grant microphone access

    Allow the app to use your iPhone microphone the first time you tap voice. The audio is used only to build the search query.

  3. Hold the voice key and speak

    Press and hold the mic button, say a title or actor, then release. The app sends the query to the Roku, which runs the on-screen search.

  4. Pick a result

    Use the D-Pad and OK to open a match, or speak again to refine. Voice and the full button set share one screen.

How does voice search work without a Roku voice remote?
Auxility Remote captures speech on your iPhone, converts it to a search query, and sends it to the Roku over Wi-Fi. The device runs the on-screen search exactly as a hardware voice remote would.
Do I need to speak in a specific format for voice search?
Natural phrasing works — a show name, an actor, or a genre. Releasing the mic button submits the query, and you can refine by speaking again or using the D-Pad.
Is my voice recorded or stored by the app?
Audio is used to form the search and is not kept as a personal archive. Control stays local over your Wi-Fi network, in keeping with the app's local-first design.
