CHANGE ROKU INPUT

Change Your Roku Input Without Hunting for the Remote.

Switching to a console or soundbar means finding the input button. Remote for Roku opens the source menu and changes HDMI inputs from your iPhone.

Step by step

How to fix it: Change Roku Input.

Each step takes seconds. No original remote, no pairing code, no account required.

  1. Connect to your Roku TV

Open Remote for Roku on the same Wi-Fi. Input switching applies to Roku TVs and the Streambar, which expose source selection over ECP.

  2. Open the input list

Press HOME, then use the D-Pad to reach the input tiles, or use the app's input shortcut. Each command is an HTTP keypress on port 8060.

  3. Select the HDMI source

Highlight HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or Antenna and press OK. The Roku TV switches sources immediately, exactly like the hardware input button.

  4. Switch back anytime

Return to streaming with HOME, or hop between a console and cable using the same tiles, with no need to locate a physical remote.

Common questions

Change Roku Input — your questions answered.

Can I switch HDMI inputs on a Roku TV from my iPhone?
Yes. On Roku TVs and the Streambar, Remote for Roku reaches the input tiles through ECP. Highlight the HDMI source and press OK to switch, just like the hardware input key.
My Roku is a streaming stick — can I change inputs?
Streaming sticks and boxes feed a single HDMI port, so there is no source to switch on the device itself. Input switching is a function of Roku TVs and the Streambar, where the app exposes it.
Does changing input require the original Roku remote?
No. The app sends the same navigation and OK commands the remote would, over Wi-Fi on port 8060. You can open the input menu and select a source with the original remote nowhere in sight.
